The Ergo 5 is even more innovative than its predecessor. An optimised adjustment system and outstanding stiffness values make every ride an experience. It is 4 mm wider across the ball of the foot and offers more volume, a high instep and a wider heel cup.
The push button on the Tecno 3 twist-lock fasteners facilitates sensitive adjustment during the ride. The upper is a high quality Tech Pro Nylon Mesh microfiber. It is breathable and regulates temperature and thanks to its surface finish it is dirt-repellent.
Soft Instep 4 System: The anatomical and comfortable strap, placed on the top of the foot and coupled with a soft and thermo-formed material, will increase comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area, adjustable from both sides to achieve the perfect center position. The system eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender. The Soft Instep Closure System is serviceable and replaceable
Tecno-3 Push Short System: dials in fit, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. Here the closure is located on the side of the shoe, which allows a sensitive adaptation to the foot. To open the mechanism simply press the two buttons on the sides of the turn-lock fastener, pull it outwards and release the nylon loop from the cable holder. To close the mechanism put the nylon loop on the cable holder and turn the turn-lock fastener until the shoe fits properly. The Tecno-3 System allows a micrometric adjustment by alternately pushing on the buttons. Like most SIDI small parts, the TECNO-3 BUCKLE is serviceable and replaceable.
The reinforced heel keeps the foot in a optimal position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure.
Twelve Carbon Composite Sole: The carbon-reinforced nylon outsole with an insert of carbon doesn't absorb water and doesn't lose rigidity in hot or humid weather or as it ages. It provides an excellent power transmission and is a lightweight and stiff sole.
